How can manufacturing knowledge be utilised to create value within the realm of design?
"Manufacturing", a term largely dependent on our understanding of the industrial revolution, is laden with knowledge and experience that is rarely applied to the design of our built environment. How can knowledge of manufacturing and digital design tools challenge building culture in order to enable sustainable, informed, and materially intelligent design solutions? Grappling with these questions, Design for Manufacture MArch students at The Bartlett School of Architecture will present the outcome of their research projects.
